Terms of Service
Effective July 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Tapestry (“Tapestry,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Tapestry mobile applications, website, and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. We have tried to write them the way we would want to read them: short sentences, no traps.
1. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Tapestry. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. A couple account links two individual accounts; each of you controls your own account and your own private content.
2. Subscriptions and billing
Tapestry offers a free plan and paid plans (Premium and Premium + Loom). Paid plans purchased in the mobile apps are billed through the App Store or Google Play under their terms, with entitlements managed by RevenueCat. Plans purchased on our website are billed by Stripe. One paid subscription covers both partners in a linked couple.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues through the end of the period you have paid for. Prices may change, but never mid-term, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice before a renewal at a new price. Refunds for app store purchases follow the app store's policies; for web purchases, contact [email protected] within 14 days of a charge and we will make it right.
3. Church plans
Church plans are annual agreements that provide activation codes for a set number of couples. Churches receive aggregate engagement reporting only and never gain access to any couple's private content. Church plans may be cancelled effective at the end of the current annual term.
4. Loom is a guide, not a professional
Loom is an AI companion that offers reflection and conversation prompts based on your couple's shared history. Loom is not a licensed therapist, counselor, medical professional, or pastor, and nothing Loom says is professional advice. If your marriage is in crisis, or if there is any abuse or danger in your home, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services. Loom is built to point you there, and we mean it.
5. Your content
You own what you create in Tapestry: your answers, photos, prayers, and messages. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, and display that content to you and, where the feature is designed for sharing, to your linked partner. We claim no other rights to it. Our privacy policy describes how content is handled and deleted.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Tapestry to harass or harm anyone, including your partner; to upload unlawful content; to attempt to access another person's account or data; to reverse engineer or disrupt the service; or to resell access without a written agreement with us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practical.
7. Termination
You can stop using Tapestry and delete your account at any time in the app or by emailing [email protected]; deletion is processed within 30 days as described in our privacy policy. We may terminate or suspend the service for material breach of these terms, and we will refund the unused portion of a paid term if we terminate without cause.
8. Disclaimers and limits on liability
Tapestry is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it available and accurate, but we cannot promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no guarantees about relationship outcomes; marriages are built by the people in them. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and give us 30 days to work it out with you; most things can be solved with an honest email.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that meaningfully affects your rights, we will notify you in the app and by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Tapestry after that date means you accept the updated terms.
